Gentle Universe at Heima Store

Hi! How are you? We're happy to share that we were booked to perform during Heima's "Oh Hi, Summertime Collection Release" at LRI Makati on May 5 at 8pm. It was fun! Hannah+Gabi, House of Hamsters and Karen also performed. The new collection was so lovely and colorful. Thanks Heima for having us!

Gentle Universe performed at Greenbelt Fashion Walk 2012

Hi! We would like to share some photos taken during Greenbelt Fashion Walk 2012.We were booked to perform original ambient music for Style Origin on April 20, 2012 at 4 pm in the afternoon.

Style Origin is where clothing brands from Ayala Malls presented their latest collections. It was fun! The show was directed by Ariel Lozada of Not Enough Circuses. Direk Ariel said that he liked our music. Thank you Direk Ariel!

The fashion walk was staged at Greenbelt 5.

We performed after the fashion walk for kids. So cute! It was also nice to see kids on the runway with their parents.

Here is a photo while we were playing. We played with guest musician Shant Verdun (percussionist from Baguio) for about 30 minutes while models were walking on the ramp for different clothing brands at Ayala Malls like Springfield, Anne Klein, Swatch, Mango and Collezione.

Phil and James Younghusband of football team Azkals also participated in the fashion walk wearing Collezione. Go Azkals!

Here is our set up for the event.

We were asked to perform with Shant Verdum, percussionist from Baguio City. Shant brought a bamboo xylophone and nice little harp.

My son Dylan came with us who found time to play at Glorietta while were still setting up on stage.

Ayala Mall and Not Enough Circuses are so nice! They provided an air conditioned dressing room/holding area backstage for Gentle Universe even we didn't ask for it in our contract rider. Thank you! We really appreciate it.

Bobby Balingit (The Wuds, Juan Isip and Planeta ng mga Ngiti) and Shant Verdun also played after us at around 6 PM. It was a magical moment!

Mensweek featured Filipino top designers Sassa Jimenez, Randy Ortiz and Joey Samson.

Gentle Universe at Alliance Française de Manille

Gentle Universe will perform at Alliance Française de Manille on March 15 for Spring of Poets 2012. The theme for Spring of Poets 2012 is "infants, children and beginnings". We were invited by Yanna Verbo Acosta to play ambient music while she recites a poem that she wrote for her dear son IO.

Gentle Universe performed at Ayala Museum for Ang Illustrador ng Kabataan's (AngINK)
exhibit and 20th anniversary celebration. Nov 21, 2011, 6PM.


We performed live ambient music and sounds during the exhibit viewing. (Cris Garcimo - keyboard, toy piano, beat programming, sound design; Valerie Faye - keyboard, toy piano2 and Yen Reville - visuals)


AngINK exhibit at Ayala is from from Nov 21, 2011 to Jan 15, 2012. Celebrating 20 years of Philippine Children's Book Illustration. Don't miss it!


The big boat illustration behind us is from the children's book "The Moon is my Friend" written by Chit Litiaco-acosta and illustrated by Mela Advincula.
